The AND Business Health Check

How healthy is your business?

Not simply financially. Commercially, operationally and organisationally.

A short, structured review of proposition clarity and the things that decide whether a business performs well, runs well and holds its value: where the money is made, how the work gets done, how people are managed, how decisions are taken and what all of that means for the long term.

Six areas, one business

The review looks at the business the way an owner, an incoming managing director and a buyer would, together. Each area affects the others.

Twelve questions to ask before we do.

If more than a few of these are uncomfortable, the problem is rarely effort or goodwill. It is usually how the business is being run, and that can be changed.

  1. 01Are workloads sustainable, or is the business running on goodwill?
  2. 02Are responsibilities clear enough that people can act without checking?
  3. 03Can decisions be made without everything going through the founder?
  4. 04Are meetings helping the work or replacing it?
  5. 05Are managers actually managing?
  6. 06Are teams properly resourced for the work they have been sold?
  7. 07Does the operating model create unnecessary stress?
  8. 08Are incentives rewarding the right behaviour?
  9. 09Are senior leaders spending their time on the right things?
  10. 10Is growth creating opportunity or simply increasing pressure?
  11. 11Could better processes remove work rather than add to it?
  12. 12Do you know which clients, projects and services actually make money?

What the review produces

A few structured conversations and a look at the numbers. No survey, no scorecard for its own sake. A straight view of the business and what to do first.

  • A clear view of where the business is strong and where it is exposed, across all six areas.
  • The two or three issues that are costing the most, in margin, time or risk.
  • A practical order of work, with what ANDvisory would do and what belongs to the team or to specialist advisers.

ANDvisory does not provide specialist environmental, legal, HR, medical or regulated ESG advice. Where that expertise is needed, we help identify the issue and work alongside the appropriate professional advisers.

Performance health.

Tell us a little about the business and we will come back to you, usually within one working day, to arrange the first conversation.
