Commercial Growth
Taking commercial load off a founder without hiring a director
One day a week of senior commercial leadership: pricing, margin and new business given structure, owners and a reporting rhythm.
Enterprise value
The work that increases what a company is worth is the same work that makes it better to own: earnings quality, client spread, structure and independence from the founder.
Enterprise value is what a business is worth as a whole, independent of how it is financed. In practice it is driven by the size and quality of sustainable earnings, how predictable those earnings are, how concentrated the client base is, and how much of the business depends on its founder.
That is why two companies with identical revenue can be worth very different amounts. One has repeatable earnings, a spread of clients and a management team; the other has a founder, a spreadsheet and three big relationships.
Enterprise value work is not a valuation exercise. It is the commercial and operational work that changes the underlying facts a valuation is based on.
EBITDA matters long before anyone talks about selling, because it is the clearest measure of whether the business is genuinely profitable rather than simply busy. Founders who understand how their own decisions move it price better, scope better and hire at the right time.
Improvement almost always comes from the same places: pricing and scoping, project and client profitability, resourcing and utilisation, supplier terms and overhead discipline.
We assess the business the way an owner, buyer or incoming managing director would, identify what is suppressing value, and then work through it with the leadership team over months rather than weeks.
ANDvisory does not provide regulated investment, tax, legal, accounting or corporate finance advice. Where specialist transaction, legal, tax, accounting or corporate finance expertise is required, we work alongside your existing professional advisers or appropriate specialists.
Improve the quality and predictability of earnings, reduce the concentration of both clients and knowledge, and make the business demonstrably able to run without its founder. Growth alone does not do it.
No. Every one of these changes improves profitability, resilience and how the business feels to run. Selling simply becomes an option you hold rather than a decision forced on you.
